Does God gives us enough?

Date : 15 Dec 2009

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION

Does God gives us enough?Once a boy went to a shop with his mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said 'Dear Child... u can take the sweets...

But the child didn't take. The shop keeper was surprised... such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets....

Now the mother also heard that and said... take the sweets dear... Yet he didn't take... The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the Mother asked the child... Why didn't you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take?

Can you guess the response: Child replies... Mom! My hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few... but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands.... how many more sweets I got!

Moral: When we take we may get little but when God gives... HE gives us more, beyond our expectations. ... more than what we can hold..!!!

So surrender to the will of God and accept whatever he gives with gratitude and joy.

Question and Answers

Q:Is it possible to fully surrender to the will of God and yet perform our actions to the best of our potential?A: In fact, when you surrender to the will of God and allow him to give you as much he thinks is good for you then you perform your actions to the best of your potential. This is because you will become free of anxiety, fear and negative results.

Even in Gita Lord Krishna says:

"Yogasthah kuru karmani
Yogah karma kaushalam"

Meaning: When you perform your actions while being in union with God your actions become perfect.

Does God operate through us in this universe?

Date : 11 May 2009

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION

Yes, God operates through every being in this creation. God has his own agenda for the creation and has assigned different roles to different people to fulfill his agenda but humans in their greed and lust, forget this truth and live to fulfill their own selfish interest.Humans overlook the existence of divine power within them, that which is the main source for their knowledge, intelligence, wisdom and action. They work to fulfill their own selfish interest, live a luxurious life and amass individual wealth. We must remember that all these material possession will be left behind when we depart from this world. What will go with us is our mental state and that mental state will be hell-ish unless we die with inner satisfaction and inner peace. This is possible only when we live in this world as God's representative and work to fulfil his agenda rather than our own agenda.

Try experiencing this state of being, i.e. God's representative at least once and you shall realize the presence of immense satisfaction, joy and bliss within you. The world would be a different experience all together.

  A Short Story

One day a person saw from his limousine, a poor girl begging on the streets. The poor girl was dirty, thin, wearing torn clothes with uncombed hair. In the evening while he was about to eat the first bite of his 8 course dinner on a luxurious dinning table, he suddenly remembered the poor girl he saw on the streets. He felt bad and pity for the girl. He closed his eye and said,'Oh God, why don't you do something. There is so much poverty and suffering in this world, why don't you do something.........'

God replied 'I did my son..... I created you'.

Listening to these words he felt ashamed and tears flowed in his eyes. He realized that all the wealth which he earned is the gift given by God for fulfilling his goals of helping people but under ignorance he considered that wealth as his own.

Doubt, Fear and Worries

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION
"Do not doubt, fear or worry for the success of anything which you want to accomplish. Doubts, fear and worries generally have high intensity and thus have the power to prove themselves right and impede your success".- Shri Ramesh Jain

Dusshera Special

Date : 28 Sep 2009

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION

Date : 28 Sep 2009

Dusshera is one of the most important festivals of India and is celebrated across the country. In Sanskrit 'Dasha' means situation, condition, fate, time and 'Hara' means one who wins over. Dusshera literally means 'The winner of one's own fate' or 'The winner of one's own bad aspects'.Dusshera commemorates the triumph of good over evil. On this day lord Rama killed the demon king Ravana and Goddess Durga killed the mighty demon Mahisasur. Ravana and Mahisasur basically represent the negative and destructive aspects of human minds. The ten heads or Ravana represent lust, anger, greed, delusion, violence, envy, revenge, hatred, arrogance and Ego. Anyone who possess one or more of these evil qualities is said to be possessing Ravana within him. As lord Rama killed Ravana, everyone must kill these negative(demonly) aspects within them and take control of their lives. This is what would mean triumph of good over evil, triumph of positivity over negativity, triumph of willpower over weakness, triumph of forgiveness over enmity, triumph of contentment over greed, triumph of love over hatred. With best wishes for a happy Dusshera.

  Feedback from Program Participants

Most of us celebrate festivals by following various rituals but without really understanding the significance of the festival and the message it is trying to give. You are right when you said that every festival or puja or ritual should be understood from its knowledge aspect and then connect our emotions while performing it or celebrating it. I tried and found that it's working wonderfully well. Thanks for giving a new direction of celebration.

  Question and Answers

Q:What is the significance of rituals such as pooja, homa, aarti, yagna, fasting etc. during religious festivals?

A: Rituals are designed to help invoke the power of our emotions during various festivals as on those particular days (days of festivals), the whole universe is in a particular format and our rishis and munis have devised rituals so as to format our emotions and synchronize them with the format of the universe. If one is able to emanate required emotions with required intensity then one need not really follow any rituals.

Ego

Date : 04 Apr 2008

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION
Ego-main cause of suffering.
Ego is the main cause for all human sufferings. Ego of wealth, status, fame, intelligence, looks, nation, caste, religion, colour etc. create feeling of superior for the self and inferior for others. Higher the ego, more easily one gets hurt thereby ruining precious moments of life which otherwise would have been joyful. Wake up to this reality before itís too late. Keep a check on your ego.- Shri Ramesh Jain

  EXPERIANCE SHARING

King to the Master: Master, what is Ego.Master shouted by saying what kind of stupid question you are asking. You do not know such a simple thing and boost yourself to be a great king. You are not fit to be a king. Get out of my hermitage and never come back.

King felt insulted. His face became red and he took his sword out to kill the master.
This is 'Ego' my dear king, said the master.

  Question and Answers

Q:How to reduce ego. I easily feel hurt and insulted?A: First you must check on what kind of issues you feel hurt. Analyze those situations when you got hurt and try to recollect for how long you suffered. Ask yourself (1) Was it worth suffering? (2) Had I not been egoistic, would I not have enjoyed those moments? (3) How many days I wasted in suffering in this precious and short life? (4) What did I gain by being egoistic? (5) Did I make friends or lose friends or create enemies because of my ego? (6) What happens if I become egoless and turn humble? (7) Am I not attracting other's negative vibrations unnecessarily?

You must realize that you are not even a speck in the creation and are here only for a temporary period, then why the ego? Your own ego unnecessarily attracts situations which make you suffer as ego enjoys seeing you suffer. Let people provoke but you can decide not to get provoked. Drop your ego completely right now. Then seek forgiveness through meditation from all beings in the creation for hurting them. You will feel relaxed and happy.

Keep a check on your ego for sometime and put conscious efforts not to react even if you feel hurt, then your ego will drop, like a dry leaf dropping from the tree.

Everybody has to go through their share of happiness and sorrow

Date : 23 May 2010

 THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION
Anyone Can Hold The Helm When The Sea Is Calm but what about when the sea is turbulent. Your true state gets projected during adversities.

Everybody in this world has to experience their share of happiness, Joy, Pain and Sorrow. Nobody can escape this universal law. However in times of pain everybody thinks that life has only pain and no joy. One painful situation can erase whole life's happiness.

Apparently everybody thinks that their life is most miserable and their share of happiness is the least. But the fact is that at some time or the other or in some birth or the other, everybody has to go through the results of their deeds in the form of happiness or pain. Some people would have gone through it before and some people are going through in the present and some people would go through it in the future, but nobody would be able to escape the fury of their deeds, not even the Saints and Gods.

With this cosmic law in place one should neither get depressed when one is in problems and facing painful situations nor feel exalted when good things happen in life. Good times and bad times, both are temporary, as the present situation will undergo a change when the time comes for the next row of deeds to give their results. Good deeds will bring good results and bad deeds will bring bad results. However one thing permanent in these cosmic laws is that everything is impermanent and short lived.

So instead of feeling bad in bad phase of life one should celebrate because next in queue would be good period and when one is enjoying good period then one should be prepared to pay some tax on happiness in the form of bad phase of life. This is an eternal truth of the eternal cycle of different phases of life having peaks of good and bad phases and waves of happiness and sorrow.

Everything has to happen in mind first

Date : 21 Feb 2008

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION
EVERYTHING WHICH HAS TO HAPPEN IN LIFE HAS TO FIRST HAPPEN IN MIND
Mind is the main door to our life. Without entering our mind nothing can enter our life. All good and bad things, all right and wrong people and all the favorable and unfavorable situations in life are the result of our thoughts, imaginations, feelings and emotions. You can control wrong things happening in your life by controlling your thoughts, imaginations, feelings and emotions- Shri Ramesh Jain
  EXPERIANCE SHARING
'I never realized the importance of our thoughts and feelings as the cause of our life situations until I attended your program. Now, when I became conscious of my thoughts, imaginations and feelings I am able to clearly relate every instance taking place in life with my thoughts and imaginations. Now days my mind has stopped emanating unwanted negative thoughts and has become very peaceful. I never knew the blissful feeling of a calm mind.
  Question and Answers
Q:Whatever wrong is happening in my life, I am not able to relate it to have happened in my mind? How do I know that mind is the cause for my sufferings?A: We normally remain unaware of more than 95% of thoughts, imaginations and feelings emanated by our mind. Most of them are unwanted and negative. They all go to cosmos as vibrations and cosmos understand them as your desire. Cosmic forces organizes situations in our life according to the signal it receives. Everything which is happening in our life is happening based on the signals we have sent to cosmos knowingly or unknowingly. Start controlling your mind and stop emanating unwanted vibrations into cosmos; you will find lot of changes in your life and when you become conscious of your thoughts and imaginations you will be able to relate them to your life situations. That will prove the relationship between your mind and your life.

Expect the least ; Accept the most

Date : 16 Jul 2009

  THOUGHT FOR CONTEMPLATION

The main cause for most of our sufferings, irritation, frustration, anger and depression is high expectations and low acceptance. Mind has a tendency to generate expectations and vouch for its fulfillment. People and situations are not bound by our expectations and hence do not reciprocate. We have the least tendency to accept life situations as they are and instead have the tendency to feel bad for shortfall in our expected results. Not only that, even when the results are as expected yet instead of being happy with what we have got we expect some more and lose the opportunity of being happy. Reduce expectations and Increase acceptance for a happier and joyful life.- Ramesh Jain
