Power of forgiveness

Date : 26 Apr 2008

Many of our problems in life are because of negative vibrations emanated by others against us. These negative vibrations are emanated generally in retaliation to our conscious or unconscious insult, unruly behavior, anger or hurting their sentiments. These negative vibrations can affect us by way of ill health, financial losses, accidents or strained relations. We can neutralize the effect of these negative vibrations by seeking forgiveness from people through meditation. The vibrations emanated by us while seeking forgiveness through meditation, have the power to neutralize others negative vibrations thus helping us lead a peaceful life- Sri. Sadguru Rameshji Ji

I was going through one of the worst phases in my life by way of losses in business; deteriorating health and hurdles in daughter's marriage. I could never know the reason until I attended your workshop in Mumbai. I realized it was all because of my bad behavior with my own brother and other family members. I sought forgiveness from all of them in the way you told me to do in meditation and the results were astonishing. Within a week my relations improved with my family members and my business turned around and everything else became normal. Since then me and my family members are living a happy life. I never knew that others negative vibrations can have such an effect on our lives.

  Question and Answers

Q:Even when we are not wrong and consciously did not hurt anybody, should we still seek forgiveness?A: Yes, irrespective of whether you are wrong or not, you should seek forgiveness from all those people who you think must be emanating negativity against you because others do not emanate negative vibrations based on your judgment of right or wrong. When people feel insulted, hurt or belittled they may emanate negative vibrations against you and whenever you become mentally or physically weak or become negative yourself, you will attract their negative vibrations which are waiting in the cosmos to attack you.

Seeking forgiveness through meditation has tremendous amount of vibratory power within itself. In addition to influencing others mind and neutralizing their negative vibrations, it forms a protective shield around you thus protecting you from all unnecessary external forces.

Power of Mantra

 Date : 09 May 2008

A mantra is a divine word or sentence that is chanted in a particular way to achieve Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kama (desires) or Mokhsa (liberation). A mantra can make impossible things possible. A simple sadhaka (spiritual practitioner) can become a great saint with the power of mantra. A mantra can change an unfavorable situation into a favorable one.
When mantras are chanted, they emanate powerful vibrations in the cosmos and influences cosmic forces. Depending on the objective of mantras, appropriate faculty of cosmic forces is invoked and thus the required situation or circumstances gets created.-
Sri. Sadguru Rameshji Ji

When I chant a mantra during meditation I experience some kind of current flow all over my body. It gives me bliss and my meditation goes well. I keep chanting this mantra even when I am driving, cooking or working. In the night whenever I wake up I find my mantra chanting going on without my knowledge. It gives me lot of peace and avoids getting unnecessary negative thoughts. My mind has become more focused and relaxed with the power of mantra.

  Question and Answers

Q:How do we know which mantra to chant? Should the mantra be chanted loudly or mentally?A: There are several common mantras which anybody can chant such as OM, OM NAMAH SHIVAY, OM VASUDEVAYA NAMAH, OM GANESHAYA NAMAH, OM HAMSA SOHAM etc. You can also take a mantra from your Guru or refer scriptures. You have to be careful only when you need a mantra for fulfilling any specific desires of material nature.

Mantra can be chanted loudly if you are in a place where others do not mind or it does not unnecessarily attract others attention. Mental chanting of mantra has more power than chanting it loudly through mouth. While chanting mantra you must feel its divine meaning and concentrate on its vibratory effect. Every mantra which is chanted should give you joy and take you to a state of meditation. It should be slow and rhythmic chanting. The more you chant mantra the more powerful it becomes hence keep chanting it whenever and wherever it is possible. You need not restrict mantra chanting to a particular time and place.

Power of Positivity

Date : 14 Sept 2007

"Be positive all the time, even in the most difficult to difficult situations. The power of your positivity can change the course of your difficulties and clear off the obstructions paving way for newer opportunities. Opportunities are waiting at your door steps. You need to open the door".- Sri. Sadguru Rameshji Ji
"One of my close relative deceived me due to which I had to incur heavy financial loss. For almost three months I was disturbed and depressed. I was cursing the person who deceived me and knocked all the doors for recovery of my money but in vain. I was feeling very insecure and was totally negative. After attending your program I realized the ill effects of being negative. I turned positive by accepting all that which happened to me as the result of my own karma (actions). I started emanating positive vibes towards everybody including the person who, I thought, has deceived me. Dramatic changes started taking place in my life and newer and newer opportunities came to me. Things totally changed and I am again back to my normal life. Thanks."
  Question and Answers

Q: Can you please clarify as to who is the 'I' and who is the real meditator, 'I' or the mind?A: 'I' (as pure self) do not meditate as 'I' is always in a changeless, non-modifying, attributeless and thoughtless state. Thoughts do not emanate from 'I' but they emanate from mind. It is the mind who attempts meditation so as to become calm. Do not get carried away by the gimmicks, which the mind resorts to, just because it is unable to be stable. Try consciously to be always aware of your 'I' (the real self) and the mind will start taking rest in you."Meditation is not meant for the meditator (the Self, Atman) and meditator is not at all meditating but meditation is meant for the 'Mediator', the mind, whose phenomena is to identify with everything other than its own source and thus veil the conscious existence of an entity called the self, seer, experiencer, meditator, atman, brahman and so on..."

Prarabdh Karma

Date : 06 June 2008

Prarabbh karma is the cause for this life and based on these prarabdh karmas everything in our life gets pre-destined including the favorable and unfavorable situations, strained relationship, riches and losses, accidents and death. Prarabdh means that which has commenced and prarabdh karma means those karmas (deeds) which have started giving their results. Prarabdh karmas may undergo modifications based on the new karmas we perform in this birth. This is how we build our fate. Your fate is in your hands; build it according to what you want in your life.- Sri. Sadguru Rameshji Ji

I earlier used to get annoyed with every situation of my life and used to get annoyed with everybody, thinking that they are there to trouble me. I never knew that it is my own prarabdh karma which is creating all these scenes in my life, only to give back the result of my deeds in the past birth. Since this knowledge has dawned on me I have become more peaceful and non-reactive. Every situation which appears non-congenial to me also does not bother me these days. Slowly I find lot of good things started happening in my life. More than anything else I have stopped blaming anybody for my problems and that helped me find newer ways to look at life.

  Question and Answers

Q:How do we know which situation is based on our prarabdh karma and which ones are based on new karmas? Can we control or neutralize our prarabdh karma?A: Your taking birth in a particular family and to particular parents is based on your prarabdh karma. Your brothers, sisters, children, wife etc are also based on your prarabdh karma. Many of your problems, troubles in life and strained relationship is due to your prarabdh karma. Untimely and unnatural deaths, major accidents, separations, losses etc could also be due to prarabdh karma. However your present life actions (deeds) could have made difference in the intensity of the situation. It is very difficult to pin point as to which situation is based on prarabdh karma and which one is based on new karma but know that every situation has some connection to prarabdh karma.

The method with which you can reduce the intensity of your prarabdh karma is;
(1) Accept all life situations as result of your past karma.
(2) Do not feel sorrowful in unfavorable situations as it increases the intensity
of your prarabdh karma .
(3) Emanate positive vibes towards everybody, even towards those people who
make you suffer and give you pain.
(4) Seek forgiveness from all beings in the world for your known and unknown
misbehavior with them.
(5) Perform present deeds with positive attitude as they can reduce the intensity
of past deeds or modify them. Your deeds should be such that it gives pleasure,
happiness and peace to all beings in the universe.
(6) Never get perturbed with anything in life.

Repentance of Past and Future worries

Date : 28 Aug 2007

"Repentance of the past and worries for the future weakens the power of the present. Present (without anxiety, worries, fear and repentance) has the potential to tap the creative powers of cosmos and invoke the powers of sub-conscious mind. Present has the power to erase past memories and secure your future".- Sri. Sadguru Rameshji Ji

"After your program all the people who attended it were delighted and glowing with power to change their world & destiny, which they realized, is in their own hands. This realization was enough to take them to a new height and new level of existence.""Thanks for your tools for getting rid of negetivities. Amazingly it really works to inculcate positivity in our daily routine.""when i attended the seminar i felt so much better it
changed the way i used to think, positivity came to my thinking. But some how i feel that negativity still hounds me some time or the other. Could you please help me out as I don't want to be a negative thinker again and spoil my life and career."

  Question and Answers

Q: What is the difference between Pure Soul and Pure Consciousness?A:Pure Soul and Pure Consciousness are two different things. Pure consciousness is the formless, omnipresent and eternal energy through which entire creation is manifested. Soul is an individual entity consisting of Mind, Wisdom, Ego, consciousness, five senses, five elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether) etc. Soul is not eternal. It is in bondage of birth, death and rebirth based on its deeds until it gets enlightened and merges in its original source that is Pure Consciousness.A soul which performs good/pious actions, helps others, loves every creature in the world equally, always remains in a state of gratitude and meditates regularly can be said to be a pure soul. Pure Consciousness is formless energy which does not perform any action nor it is bound by birth and death cycle.

A pure soul by constantly meditating on Pure consciousness merges with it and after the physical body dies becomes one with the Pure Consciousness.

Response Vs Reaction

At a Restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady. She started screaming out of fear. With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach. Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but it landed on another lady in the group. Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?

He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of the ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me. It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Lessons learnt from the story:

I understood, I should not react in life.

I should always respond.

The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of, just and right to save a situation from going out of hands, to avoid cracks in relationship, to avoid taking decisions in anger, anxiety, stress or hurry.

Rigidity kills, flexibility survives

Date : 19 June 2011

Rigidity in ideas, thinking pattern, attitude and perception is one of the major causes for conflicts, friction, anger, irritation and frustration. It influences one's personality and affects one's family life, relationship with friends, relatives and professional life. It is the major deciding factor for quality and quantity of life.

A person who lives life based on rigid principles and expects other family members too to live based on his/her principles, is the one who attracts maximum pain in life. Not only this person attracts pain for himself but also gives pain to others. He suffers the most and makes others suffer too. While such people make their own lives miserable they do not miss a chance to make others life miserable. These people get so much accustomed of living a life of friction and conflicts that it gives them lot of Ego satisfaction seeing others suffer due to these frictions. In fact it so happens that when there are no friction or conflict they feel restless. Under ignorance, they also think that their rigid attitude helps inculcating discipline, building up character and good habits.

These people never understand that whatever they are creating is not harmony but misery. They are preaching not adjustment but rigidity. They are teaching not principled living but egoistic living. There cannot be a bigger show of Ego than showing off how simple and principled you are.

It is said that it is not the strong wind which brings down the tree but it is the tree's rigidity and ego of standing tall that makes it fall. A small plant does not fall even in a cyclonic storm because it does not resist the onslaught of wind's direction and speed. It bends itself in the direction of the wind to allow the wind to pass off peacefully and once the wind stops it again comes back to its original state. Big tree falls because of its resistance to the strong winds. When it loses its resistance power, it falls.

Be flexible like a small plant. Bend yourself adjusting to the demand of situation, people, time and place. Do not always try to impose ideas on others though healthy discussions are welcome. Create no resistance whatsoever and let others feel comfortable in your company. Let your nature be such that people do not run away from you but they look for opportunity to be in your company.

There can be nothing more important than saving a relationship from breaking down or saving a situation from becoming bitter. During bitterness one would wastes precious moments of life which otherwise could have been spent in happiness. And saving a relationship will also give another opportunity to help bring forward your point of view, if the matter is so serious and needs to be addressed.
